Managing your B-Box-equipped vehicle - FAQ

Can the B-Box be disconnected from my vehicle, if installed?

The B-Box can be disconnected from the vehicles it is installed on, because you don't want to use the related service or because the vehicle will be out of use for a long time, at any authorised Benelli dealer.

Although the operation is very simple, since the device is visible under the seat and connected with a dedicated socket, for permanent removal we recommend going to your authorised Benelli dealer. It's a different matter if the B-Box stops transmitting: in that case you just need to unplug it and plug it back in, and you can do it yourself if you feel confident. What should I do if my vehicle won't be used for a long time (more than 2 weeks)?

The B-Box's battery draw is negligible, but if the vehicle won't be used for a long time, we recommend doing the following to preserve the vehicle's battery charge:

• Connect the vehicle's battery to a battery maintainer
• Disconnect the battery from the vehicle
• Unplug the B-Box from its dedicated socket: you can do it yourself if you feel confident, or ask an authorised Benelli dealer

Remember that the location and battery monitoring services will no longer be active once the device has been disconnected from the bike or once the battery has been disconnected.
The B-Box has an internal backup battery, but its life is limited.

I've noticed excessive battery drain, what should I do?

In case of abnormal battery drain (battery flat after short periods of inactivity, less than two weeks), we recommend going to an authorised Benelli dealer to have the battery condition and the correct operation of the B-Box checked.
